关于做好2019-2020学年“国际学生之星”评选工作的通知
Notice on 2019-2020 Academic Year“International Student Star”Selection
全体老师、同学：
To all teachers and students,
为更好地发挥先进学生的示范教育作用，积极营造积极向上的校园文化氛围，现将2019-2020学年“国际学生之星”评选工作相关事项通知如下：
In order to make better use of the function created by the examples among students, create a life-affirming campus atmosphere, School of International Education is about to hold the 2020 International Student Star Awards. Given this case, the details of selection scheme are as follows:
一、测评对象：
I. Awards Target:
国际学院全日制本科生、硕士研究生、汉语言进修生（不含2020年进校新生）。
All the students on campus (excluding the students enrolled in 2020)

II. Selection Criteria:
《湖北工业大学国际学院“国际学生之星”评选办法》
“International Student Star”Selection Scheme of School of International Education, Hubei University of Technology.
三、测评要求：
III. Requirements for Selection:
1．高度重视。成立由黄拥军副院长任组长，学工办马小红任副组长，其他辅导员和班主任任组员的评审工作小组。全体工作人员需认真学习评定办法，将此项工作与留学生思想教育、日常管理等结合起来，召开班级会议，积极引导学生参与“国际学生之星”的评选工作。
1. Due Attention. Selection board shall be set up. The board shall include Kyle Huang as the leader, Shirley Ma the deputy leader and other student counselors, class supervisors. All the board members shall carefully learn the evaluation system and combine evaluation with the education and management upon international students, hold class meeting to clarify the evaluation methods, guide and encourage students to join the selection.
2．全员参与。由教务办提供学生成绩，班主任开展评选办法宣传及学生加分材料的收集工作，学工办负责统筹安排、材料汇总、公示发放及其他各项事宜。
2. Full Participation. Academic Affairs Office is responsible for providing students’ academic performance; class supervisors are responsible for publicity and the collection of students’ proven materials; Student Affairs Office is responsible for selection arrangements, sorting of materials, distribution awards and so on.
3．规范程序。严格参照《湖北工业大学国际学院“国际学生之星”评选办法》执行，坚持公开、公平、公正，确保评定工作的准确性和规范性，严禁弄虚作假。积极听取考评对象的意见。及时公布、公示评价结果。
3. Standardized Procedures. In order to keep the selection accurate, standardized and free from fraud, the selection shall strictly abide by relevant documents and meet the requirements of openness, fairness and impartiality. Board members shall actively listen to the examinees’ opinions. The results shall be released and publicized on time.
四、评选流程
IV. Selection Procedures
A）“国际学生之星”
1、班级会议、报名阶段（9月25日至10月11日）
报名分班级推荐和自主报名两种形式，两种报名形式都需在报名表中填写班导师意见。
2、初评、公示阶段（10月12日至16日）
评审小组对所有报名人员进行资格审查，审查合格者评审小组集中答辩或者面审，最终确定名单，并在全院范围内进行公示，无异议者进入颁奖阶段。
3、颁奖阶段（12月底）
学院将对评选出的“国际学生之星”同学进行表彰，颁发证书及奖金。
B) International Student Star
1. Class Meeting, Signing-up (Sep. 25th to Oct. 11th)
There are two selection methods, including Class Recommendation and Self Recommendation. Students should fill out the registration form and class supervisor needs to fill out his or her opinions towards the students.
2. Selection and Result Publicizing (Oct. 12th to Oct. 16th)
Selection board examines the qualifications of the applications. The qualified applicants shall go through public defense or material examination. The results shall be publicized and the students with consent will be presented with awards.
3. Award Ceremony (End of December)
School of International Education will award the selected students with corresponding certificates and bonus

1、“国际学生之星”
本次“国际学生之星”共设七个类别，共计40名。
1. International Student Star
There are 7 types for this selection, which are 40 students in total.
