Notice on 2019-2020 Academic Year Winter Outstanding Graduate Selection

全体老师、同学：

To all teachers and students,

为更好地发挥先进学生的示范教育作用，积极营造积极向上的校园文化氛围，现将2019-2020学年冬季优秀国际学生毕业生评选工作相关事项通知如下：

In order to make better use of the function created by the examples among students, create a life-affirming campus atmosphere, School of International Education is about to hold the 2020 International Outstanding Graduate. Given this case, the details of selection scheme are as follows:

一、测评对象：

评选范围为湖北工业大学国际学生应届毕业生，即秋季学期能够于12月30日前、春季学期能够于6月30日前顺利完成学业并取得学士、硕士、博士学位或语言结业证书的应届毕业生，评选人数原则上不超过国际学生应届毕业生总人数的20%。

I. Sphere of Evaluation

The evaluation target includes the current year’s graduates, consisting of the students who successfully complete the bachelor, master, doctoral or Chinese language programs before Dec. 30th in winter semester or Jun. 30th in spring semester. The students with the title of International Outstanding Graduate should be no more than 20% of the graduates’ general number.

1．高度重视。成立由黄拥军副院长任组长，学工办马小红任副组长，其他辅导员和班主任任组员的评审工作小组。全体工作人员需认真学习评定办法，将此项工作与留学生思想教育、日常管理等结合起来，召开班级会议，积极引导毕业生参与优秀毕业生的评选工作。

1. Due Attention. Selection board shall be set up. The board shall include Kyle Huang as the leader, Shirley Ma the deputy leader and other student counselors, class supervisors. All the board members shall carefully learn the evaluation system and combine evaluation with the education and management upon international students, hold class meeting to clarify the evaluation methods, guide and encourage students to join the selection.

2．全员参与。由教务办提供学生成绩，班主任开展评选办法宣传及学生加分材料的收集工作，学工办负责统筹安排、材料汇总、奖学金公示发放及其他各项事宜。

2. Full Participation. Academic Affairs Office is responsible for providing students’ academic performance; class supervisors are responsible for publicity and the collection of students’ proven materials; Student Affairs Office is responsible for selection arrangements, sorting of materials, distribution of scholarship and awards and so on.

3．规范程序。严格参照《湖北工业大学优秀国际毕业生评选办法》执行，坚持公开、公平、公正，确保评定工作的准确性和规范性，严禁弄虚作假。积极听取考评对象的意见。及时公布、公示评价结果。

3. Standardized Procedures. In order to keep the selection accurate, standardized and free from fraud, the selection shall strictly abide by relevant documents and meet the requirements of openness, fairness and impartiality. Board members shall actively listen to the examinees’ opinions. The results shall be released and publicized on time.

四、评选流程

IV. Selection Procedures

1、发布评选通知（11月09日）

学工办发布评选通知，班主任给应届毕业生讲解评价办法。

2、学业评价阶段（11月09日至11月14日）

教务办导出、上传所有评选对象学生的成绩；学工办收集填写HSK成绩。

3、综合素质评价阶段（11月15日至11月20日）

学工办收集填写学生奖学金以及竞赛获奖情况；班主任线上填写学生评价等级。

4、材料汇总、评选、公示阶段（11月20日-11月23日）

学工办汇总各项得分并进行毕业生的评定、公示工作。

5、颁奖阶段（12月中旬）

学院将对评选出的优秀国际学生进行表彰，颁发证书及奖金。

International Outstanding Student Scholarship

1. Issue evaluation notice (Nov. 09th)

Student Affairs Office shall issue the notice; supervisors shall illustrate the evaluation process to graduates.

2. Academic performance evaluation stage (Nov. 11th to Nov. 14th)

Teaching Affairs Office shall export and upload the students’ GPA and HSK information.

3. Comprehensive performance evaluation stage (Nov. 15th to Nov. 20th)

Student Affairs Office shall collect the students’scholarship and competition history; supervisors shall fill the grade upon students.

4.Materials collection, evaluation and publicizing period (Nov. 20th to Nov. 23th)

Student Affairs Office is responsible for the general score calculation, evaluation and publicizing.

5. Award Ceremony ( Mid of December)

School of International Education will award the selected students with corresponding certificates and scholarship.

五、名额配置

V. Quota for Each Type of Selection

优秀国际毕业生按不超过学生比例的20%进行评选。

Outstanding International Graduate should make up no more than 20% of this year’s graduates.
