日出之食Refreshment at Sunrise

一日之计在于晨,一晨之计在于吃。当第一缕阳光照进房间,穿过夜晚最后一刻宁静,睡眼朦松的我们,伸个懒腰,吃一份充满能量的早餐,像往常一样出门。

 Make your day’s plan early in the morning and your breakfast as the first plan. When the first ray of sunshine running through the room, seeping in the final tranquil at night, after stretching ourselves with a drowsy look, we have an energetic breakfast, then go out like usual.

早餐,这份日出之食,是一日之初食物带给我们一天里面第一次的满足和慰藉。

Breakfast, the food on the sun rising moment, is the first satisfaction and comfort we can be offered by the morning food.

大中华美食丰富多样,很多爱吃之人旅行时的首要任务,就是打卡当地特色美食。而大多数地区都在早餐上把“特色”发挥得淋漓尽致。南有肠粉、米粉、河粉,北有麦面、米面、凉面,究竟谁才是个中佼佼者?

Chinese Gourmet is famous for its rich and varied cuisine, the primary mission for food-loving tourist is to punch the local specialties. Hence, a lot of regions give their full play to show their “specialties”. Rice noodle rolls, rice noodles and flat rice-noodles in the south, wheat noodlerice-flour noodles and cold noodle in the north. Who is the winner on earth?

Today let’s talk about breakfast in different regions in China. Who will win your glow stick?

提起武汉,很多人就知道热干面,但如果你说热干面就是武汉早餐的全部,武汉人肯定会一只拖鞋甩过来。烧卖、面窝、糊米酒、糊汤粉、牛肉豆丝……每一样都是武汉人的心头好。

Hearing the name of Wuhan, most people know Hot and Dry noodle. But if you have a thought that Hot and Dry noodle is the whole picture of Wuhan breakfast, for sure Wuhanese will not be joyful. Wuhan Oily Shaomai, Deep-fried Doughnut-shaped Snack, Fermented Rice Wine with Small Glutinous Rice Balls, Rice Noodles in Flavored Thick Soup, Stir-fried Shredded Dousi with Beef, each of them is the sweet tooth of Wuhanese.

来到广州,广州的饮食文化可不是盖的。仅仅是早餐就有N种,凤爪、排骨、虾饺、椰子雪糕、芝麻糊、双皮奶、龟苓膏......点心品种的多样化简直就跟满汉全席似的,来很多次都不一定能全吃着。

Coming to Guangzhou, the food culture is as famous as its name. As for breakfast, there are unlimited kinds of food, Chicken Feet, Pork Ribs, Shrimp Ravioli, Coconut Ice Cream, Sesame Paste, Stewed Milk Bean curd, Guiling Jelly, the number of desserts is just as delicate as a formal banquet combing Manchurian and Chinese delicacies. Travelling to Guangzhou one time won’t cover all the specialties.

北京作为中国首都,也有着作为典型北方城市与众不同的早餐文化。老北京不仅爱吃,更会吃!就算吃个早点也从不凑合,一杯豆汁、一个烙饼都透露着讲究。要说什么是最能代表北京早点,那必须是老北京豆汁,配上糖油饼儿,油条,整个早晨都满足了。

As the capital of China, Beijing, this typical northern city is in possession of distinctive breakfast culture. Beijinger not only loves eating, but also knows how to eat better! Having breakfast has to be paid great attention, because a fermented drink made from ground beans and a baked pancake are telling the magic of having food. A fermented drink made from ground beans has to be the typical food of breakfast in Beijing, equipping with sugar cake, deep-fried dough sticks, a bite or a drip from the combination, the whole morning will be worth.

当然中国肯定不止这么点早餐,重庆的重庆小面、江苏的灌汤包、浙江的生煎包、福建的沙茶面......

Definitely, breakfast in China is more than just what were just mentioned, Chongqing street noodles, steam-fried Baozi in Zhejiang, steamed dumplings filled with minced meat and gravy in Jiangsu, Sate noodles in Fujian…

然而,早餐从来都是一种文化载体,一种饮食都代表着一种文化,而一种文化又是一个地方一个人群的载体和联系纽带。

In addition, breakfast has always been a carrier of culture. A kind of food represents the story of a culture, moreover, a culture is also a carrier and tie for the local people in one region.

满汉全席(mǎn hàn quán xí)满汉全席是中华美食的代表。起初流行于清朝乾隆时期。它综合了来自中国南方与北方各种不同风味的美食,还包括了来自满族和汉族最美味的食物。

Man-Han Banquet: The representative of Chinese Cuisine is Man-Han Banquet. It began popular in Qing Dynasty ruled by the Emperor Qianlong. It combines the different flavor from south and north China and best dishes from both Manchu Minority and Han Majority.
